OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training
Effective July 18, 2008 all workers on public works projects of $250,000 or higher must be certified as having completed a 10-hour U.S. Department of Labor OSHA-approved safety course. This requirement must be met by everyone contracted to do work on the project, and training must be completed prior to beginning work on that project.
NYSAPLS will be hosting the OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety Training program during its Annual Surveyors Conference. The conference will be held on January 14-16, 2009 at the Empire State Plaza, Albany, NY.

EXCLUSIVE NYSAPLS member benefit: If you attended the NYSAPLS-sponsored OSHA safety certification program, your certification card has been saved on file at the NYSAPLS office. Should you misplace your card, you may contact NYSAPLS for a replacement copy. Neither the Department of Labor nor OSHA keep records of who has obtained this certification so it is imperative that you keep a copy of your card safe at all times.
